Jay and Larry were riding with Brenda, picking the quad off her when she dismounted and my arms tell me it was more than a couple of dismounts, but, I must say, she's a true blue super trooper, always got right back on the quad and carried on like nothing ever happened. She truly did great considering the conditions.</end quote></div>
My favorite was when she was hanging on for dear life at the edge of the big ole cliff. Luckily she saved herself and the quad, it would of been a heck of a time getting it back, close to what Bill had to do a few weeks ago with Jayna's nephew.
I must say that was the best and the muddiest Poker Run I have done. Hope everyone had a good time, sure wish we could have rode more with Karl. If only we had his tracking GPS he could have seen we were behind him not in front.
Oh and the MSR pants I won in the drawing fit Jake perfect, same size as his others, but nothing beats the size of all of our (except Karl) trophies

I had a blast today, it was a good ride with the PSAR group! Right after the first check point I had to pull over to situate things and sort out my gloves, so everyone in our group got a head of me, I crossed the road and followed the arrows. Apparently I wasn't that observant because I turned left and didn't see the arrows to go straight for the course the rest of the group went on and I passed our group and got ahead of them. It was a small detour, but enough to put me ahead of them and I didn't know it. When I got to the first check point and there was nobody there, I was hacked! So I booked to the next check point having motorcycles pull off to let me by, still nobody... WTF? I figured by then I was riding alone, so I clipped right along until I caught a root that ripped my handle bars out of my hands shot me up the hill briefly then straight down across the trail and into a tree. That only sheared off the bolts on one side of the bumper and flattened it a little. Shook it off and a guy on a MC that was right behind me helped get the quad back on the trail. Rode for a while being a little gun shy, then kicked it up a knotch... caught another root and pushed me over a rather large stump and flipped the quad end over end... tweeked the handle bars and repositioned the controls. Had to ride with the bars pointing a little to the left. Get back to the parking lot and noticed the front tires are toed out. Nothing appears to be bent up front, but Josh noticed a few things that were loose. As we were examining things a grease zerk just fell off the a-arm... lmao. Darn thing hung on there until the quad stopped in the parking lot. I didn't think I was jaming down the trail too fast, just clipping along. However after flipping the quad, I was very cautious.
One set of MC riders asked to get in front of me because I was on a quad, they later pulled over to let me by. The outlaw did well, but I didn't ride nearly as fast as OFC does through the trails.
Great ride, great people... good times.
