zman420... This is a small group of friends, about 80 of them + others who drop in every now and then, and a majority of us met here on this forum. It started out last year as a "where to ride" thread and has grown into what you see. But it was this thread that has given me all the great areas to ride...and then some. That's our reason for being here

HEy Everyone! IT's been a while since I've been in. THis forum is like your favorite corner bar...there's always some one here to chat with...but getting a drink in here is getting tough...

IS anyone else going to Florence on Memorial Weekend. I will be going with my (soon to be) wife, her Dad and BigHonda a.k.a. ADamBomb. WE will have 2 Raptors 1 400ex and a Banshee in our group. Check in if you are going to be there...

Hey Zman, it's not necessarily a small group of good friends. I just started posting to it about a month or so ago. I was having trouble with my 440ex's axle nut. Didn't have bigh enough wrenches to remove them. On this thread not only did another poster (Joelrichard50) lend me the wrenches, he came to my house and helped me remove them. By meeting him and his wife, my wife and I then attended a poker run at Tahuya. Had a blast and met a lot more of the posters.
If you want just lurk and watch the posts, or better yet, join in on the fun and start posting. I think you'll find that you will meet a lot of good people through this thread. Sure we yak at each other, and bust each others chops, it's all fun! But most of all we LOVE to ride.
I'm trying to get a group to come on up to Reiter outside of Gold Bar on the 12th of June, and also at Beverly dunes for a day ride on the 19th of June. Come on up for the Reiter ride and meet some of us. We are all different people from all walks of life and we all share one common interest. Riding.

Your right though,,,,,these darn fools are overloading the servers!!!!! Just kidding!!

Most of us are glued to a computer for most of the day anyway (at work),,,so it is nice to pop in and verbally slap people around a little to relieve stress and break the monotony of work[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-shocked.gif[/img]

We have formed a pretty tight bond amongst us (riding and chatting) in the last year and a half or so,,,,,and we basicly keep this thread going in the hopes that some locals (like you) may stumble upon us and come along for a ride so we can roost them (j/k).

Anyway,,,,what you see is what you get,,,,,we arent scripted,,,,,,,and Im sure if you need any info on local spots,,,,,this is the place to ask.

Feel free to start a more serious local thread if you like ,,,,,maybe we could even limit people to one post a month or something[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-frown.gif[/img]

WOW, first impressions are everything. Don't think you made a very impressive one here.
Pretty bold of you to get on a thread that has been around as long as this one has, and with as many people that have been around since the beginning. You just joined in April this year, this thread has been here since August 2003. Plus previous thread before that. Lots of good folks on here that ride a lot together. People are always posting and looking for others to ride with. Equally important on here is meeting others and becoming friends, so yes, we do yak yak yak yak. we yak about BS stuff, we yak about helping others when they need something, we yak about helping others fix stuff and find parts, we yak about going riding for the day the weekend or a week. We yak about our group helping the owners of a ranch whose owner had a very severe medical condition, and without our help would have never got the ranch ready for the summer season. I could go on and on. If somebody doesn't like it, they don't have to join in the fun.

Most of all, we'll YAK about somebody that has never been on here, posting a message like yours without out knowing who we are and what we are all about.

Sorry to rant, but we are a good and fun group. I'll voice up anytime somebody comes at us like that.
