I agree with you TNE, my personal opinion goes against the grain with most of the older drivers I talk too but the simple fact of the matter is I have no business behind the wheel of a big truck or bus anymore. At one time I was a good driver which is reflected in my driving record and the longevity of the rigs I drove. Maybe the experience is what makes me aware of my limitations now and why I drive rigs that are within my capabilities.
It's not just younger or older people that should have to pass some kind of certification and skill test to drive bigger rigs or tow heavier trailers but people of all ages. How many times have you seen some yahoo in a big SUV or pickup towing a heavy trailer and trying to drive it like a sports car? Not a lot of these end up in the ditch or running over someone in a small car but they sure leave a trail of POed drivers behind them.
Just my opinion and I could be wrong, but you know I'm not.

hey wingy... check this out</end quote></div>
Thats a little much for me. I would have to go get my CDL with that.</end quote></div>
Put not for hire on your door.. and I reckon thats a no go on the CDL... unless its changed since. As the CDL is for the airbrakes and shat. wich motorhomes often have. and in their bus capacity you would have to have CDL but in a private manor you didnt have to before. soooo i thinkin trucks is the same.</end quote></div>
I know what you say is true, but if I had that it would surely be used for work and that would require a CDL. There is no way that if I owned it it would just be used to tow the Hauler.

And you don't want a CDL?
That's gonna be one nice looking truck OFC. What you gonna use to haul your quads and horses? That truck is gonna be too purty to get dirty.
