I think every trail has too many roots out there, unless you stay over on the 4x4 area. So which trail at Tahuya doesn't have roots and is wide enough for you?</end quote></div>

Pretty much all the rest. I like a smoother trail one that I can zip through. I do love switch backs and woops. Call my wimpy but I like it smooth.</end quote></div>

Elbe is smooth... we should go up there again! [img][/img]</end quote></div>

uh huh yeah sure NOT gonna happen...my poor kawi ....poor skid plate.

Good Morning PSAR,
Great weekend was had in Easton, but it will probably be the last. It looks like the airstrip will be closed off for quads / motorcycles. Too many idiots not paying attention and not obeying the rules and riding on the airstrip. There will be a vote in about 3 weeks to see what they will do. Bud said it is almost definite that they will close it of to us. They put cameras up there so that they can see just how many people screw around there.</end quote></div>
heck we camped not to far from easton this past weekend, we were about 10 miles past the summit on cabin creek road. it was very dusty and i was hoping for one really good rain. [img][/img]</end quote></div>

I did not know that you could camp and ride out from there. Where abouts did you camp?

if you take the cabin creek road exit and drive way back in there, there is lots of camp sites and big ones at that. but it is all dry camping. and quite a few trail, hills on the power lines but you have to stay off the service roads. we were able to ride out from camp without hitting the roads

Well, this is something us long time Easton campers and riders have known, it has always just been a matter of time before the locals try to reclaim their area. Just think, between the concrete jersey barriers, dug up trails, roads, Forest Service harrasment and now the possibilty of closing the airstrip putting riding pretty much out of the question. There's plenty of other places to ride, for me it's the fact that Easton has been one of the best places for group campouts with many, many memories of fun times with PSAR.</end quote></div>
You are 100% correct, Easton wasn't all about riding so much, but the camping and just hanging out with the group. It is still sad that it will pretty much be gone for that place. And the other thing is that it is so close, at least for us southenders.

I will have to drive over there and take a look, always need another spot to camp and ride that is close to home.
