Saw that this morning, we were talking about it over on the SZ... IRS on a Sporty The freaking thing weighs more than my Ute... I am so done with the Honda motorcycle / atv market. It actually suprizes me to see such a reputable company turn out such crap.</end quote></div>
My 07 450ER has been flawless my wifes 250EX has been flawless in fact every Honda I have ever owned have been outstanding. Then I got my Raptor and it made me a Yamaha Fan for sure but I would never say Honda puts out crap.
The TRX700 has a wet real weight of 500 lbs which compared to my 700R is about a 100 lbs over weight. I am not fond of the IRS, I wish they would make a std. axle version as well. I'm definitly not going to run out and buy one but I thought it was cool Honda finally made a big bore sport quad

Honda did need a big bore bad but with the IRS and weight issues I don't think that the new 700 will appeal to their target group... Honda has run on the Honda name way to long without advancements or improvements being made. IMO they are about 3 to 4 years behind all the other manufactures when it comes to technology. I am not saying that Honda does not make quality products but I think they could do a lot better. It's almost 2008 and they are still putting drum breaks on utes they know they don't work very well so why continue to put them on?

It sounds like this Honda 700 will be more like the Kawi V Force than the 700 Raptor. It will be EFI, which is better than the Kawi, but not sure about the IRS. Is the Honda a auto or manual?

That's a pretty bold statement.
Honda doesn't turn out crap, not any more than any other manufacturer does.
Every manufacturer has one or more models that have problems with it and the Rancher with the ES is the one that has given the most problems.
I wouldn't trade my Hondas for any other models.

That being said, I don't understand why they came out with a big bore with IRS. It weighs over 500 pounds! That's nuts.
I hope they decide to come out with a straight axle model in the future.
I was really thinking they might also come out with EFI on the 450R but no such luck there.
I'll just stick with what I have and continue to love riding them!

Here's a pic of the TRX700, I think it kinda looks like a cross between a DS and a Vforce with alittle Poolaris thrown in
Well, news from the doctor is surgery on my ankle, shreaded tendon thanks to a bone spur. They have to take a section of a good tendon and graph it to the damaged one, along with taking out the bone spur. Will be off the foot for 1 month, no walking on it, even with cast on. Rehab starts after that, things should be back to normal in 6 months
