Do a little fabricating down at your shop and slap one of those bobber motors into your trike!</end quote></div>

I just talked with Bobby about my engine problems....... he talked me into giving one last shot. Now the cases and jug bottom will get fly cut. LAST CHANCE.......</end quote></div>

Was the rod hitting them?</end quote></div>

Nope.

It Has spat 2 base gaskets in a row in the same place...... gonna get them machined and call the motor done. If it blows again......boat anchor

Had that problem with two stroke Puch engines years ago. Trued up the surfaces as you are doing helped but what cured the problem was a very light knurl on the surfaces and a heavy coat of aluminum spray paint on both sides of the gasket. Important to assemble while the paint is still tacky. cylinder was steel and the case aluminum.

Wade,

It was good to meet you and our neighbor Chris!

My parts were waiting for me in the house, I'll install them tomorrow night. Hopefully I'll get off work at a reasonable hour tomorrow again.

I'm thinkin' that we'll leave at 6:00am. I'll cruise over to Haggen on the way out and grab some sadwiches for lunch.

Wonder what it means when the wife says, "I'll give you a Crotch Rocket if you don't stop this foolishness"
