Default Puget Sound/Seattle NW Area Riders Meet HERE!!!

Happa, are you still on track with going to the northend (Goldbar/Reiter rd.) and showing them boys how to have fun with a QUAD..? If so i'd like to join ya if you don't mind. Are there any others from the southend that are thinking of going..? Jim
Jim it might be a rumor but I heard anyone who is anyone will be there. Take it with a grain of gravel but I know what I heard.

If you live south of someone else you are responsible for getting everyone north of you there.

Thanks to all for the welcome, I am looking forward to being able to meet you in person and do some trails. We have an old pickup and camper that we have been using for hunting and such for years, nothing fancy but everything works. Is this the kind of rig most of you take? I see where some are talking about tents. I have that kind of equipment as well if it is more appropriate.

Have any of you visited the Eddieville Motocross track near Goldendale? It is within view of our farm and appears to be quite an operation. I haven't taken the time to ride there yet but hope to later this month when we are at the farm for a few days. I know when they had the quad playday and race a while back the parking lot was packed and lots of dust was raising from the track.

Again, thanks for the welcome.
a number of us have ridden & some have raced at eddieville.... i've been there 5 times so far, it's a great track. in fact, there's a GP race tomorrow morning, unfortunately i won't make it to this one.

I have no rear skid, I could put on one if needed but just curious, aren't riding this weekend wanted to go to Hannegan but not sure if it's gonna rain or not & I'[m tired of setting my quad up & down up & down haha but Ron may like to come up there. Just wondering how fast/slow of a pace everyone goes @?? I guess if worse comes to worse I can kick the kid off my Kodiak & take that back over LOL
put that rear skid on!!! where reiter is rocky, it's really rocky. i'd say about 1/3 of the trails are not rocky(most are in the upper area). i beaten the heck out of my skids up there from time to time, even bent a couple wheels.... but it is very fun to ride there.

I have started a list so just post on here if you are pretty sure you are going and I will add you to my list so we have a good count for spaces we need.
You put us in the wrong spot. Also, if the name is under my name move them to the other list. That way everyone goes. If they can't get the 5th off I'll call the bosses and handle it. Granted you might not work the 6th or after, but the 5th is tours.
Just needed to make sure, you know what they say about people who assume I will go ahead and move you on up!

It will be great if everyone on the list CAN make it, sure will miss the regulars that can't though

Elkaholic,

A couple of us actually went to the meeting they had on this issue a few months back. They gave is a bunch of info and they took a lot of input, from both the bike and quad folks. It was a pretty interesting meeting. They also sent us some info after the meeting on the future plans. I won't go into all the details they have us, but it is all very interesting. There were a lot of people at the meeting giving input, but not sure where it all went. The did appear to want to become a lot more quad friendly over there.. Sounds like the biggest issue was the "cross country" riding and "user created" trails and what to do with them. Nationally, they are looking at doing away with the "cross country" rule and limiting riding to designated trails only. As of right now, you can ride "cross country" in the national forest regardless of any trail, as long as you do not "create" any damage. We;ll see where it all goes from here. More I could elaborate on, but I write enough on here as it is

Hey there, take it easy on the "SR" guy on here. He's a good guy to have around, don't want to scare him away.

I think he figures since his lovely wife is only about 25 (at the most), he can split the difference between his and her age. That's why he acts so young. That would make his pretend age to be what, about 42?? hehe

Dats why we love him..............
