MOrning PSAR

Well thanks Rod & Randy for the tips I guess I will make a call Mon. to the title co. to see whats up, if it'll save me $1K that'll be nice!! My contractor went down to the sewer district & talked to the guy & he got them to lay off a little, they are going to be VERY nice to us, we just have to hire the designer(done deal), & he has to come out & make sure our tank is concrete(DUH) & not a 55 gl. barrel, & draw up something for the drain field I guess the county thinks we are retarded& dont' know where are chit is you usually have to dig holes & take soil samples in to be tested but the guy said he absouloutly DOES NOT want to see our dirt LOL&lt; it's that bad in this area I guess & he said if he sees it he will make us fix it!! Pretty much a what I don't won't hurt kinda deal
So Wed. the designer & contractor will be coming out to take a peek & then go from there, then HOPEFULLY our permits will go thru & be READY

We put in a new drain field last year, it cost us around 5K. Brown's design in Silvana for the drain field design and he recommended a guy to put it in. Both really great people.

Morning PSAR!

Goodnight PSAR!

32hrs of work in the last 48 and I am zonkered.

Mike U hear us out there making all kinds of racket at 130th and Ambaum last two nights. We will be back there bright and early Sun.</end quote></div>

Kind of thought that was you leaning on the truck, asleep. What kind of retirement project you got going on there? You been messing with that area for quite a while now and I haven't seen my electric bill go down any.

Reminds me of when I worked for the County Road Dept. for awhile, one guy doing little and nine watching. At least you guys ride more than one person to each truck.

Just yankin your chain buddy, I wouldn't want your job on a bet. Saw too many times what my father-in-law and his co-workers went thru being linemen.</end quote></div>

Sure seems we have been out there forever. But we now have replaced a brand new 750 cable(diameter of a softball) running all the way from 112th to 148th with 3 different feed points that will tie White Center and Burien together to help balance the load during the high load periods, aka Winter, and put a stop to the blowups we had been having on that 30yr old cable out there.

And yes that was me sitting in the pickup truck playing job boss making the big bucks telling guys(most of the older then me ) what to do. Unfortunately on my watch I did have a guy go to the hospital but fortunately it was just two stitches in his pinky and he still has the a finger. But those two stitches will equal alot of paperwork for me on Monday. Lesson learned by the guy and our operator and just glad it wasn't worse.

Cheech:

OJI's are always a pain the the backside when it comes to the paperwork. Glad the guy was not badly hurt, that kind of stuff is scary. That's one long run of heavy cable, hope it gets done what is intended. Does this mean we will be having fewer outages in the area during future storms and such? We have more outages here than the kids do over at the farm. Too dang many trees. Chop 'em all down I say.

What time you guys starting on Sunday? I'll be going that way about five AM.

Mike

Seattle is one of the worst for tree-huggers. They actually make us and Asplund shape the tree's around the powerlines, so it looks like the tree has a big bite taken out of its side. They don't think that a tree growing above the lines will drop its branches or loose its top taking out anything below it. Since last years storm though we are seeing a little more complete tree removal then the past.

5am on Sunday! We get to sleep in a little, probably show up at 130th around 0930 or so after stocking the trucks, loading the wire reel, crew tailgate meeting, safety recognition and awareness checklist, traffic plan, and clearance(lock-out tag-out) checklist.
