Thanksgiving.........where we as good Americans give thanks, and I, as a son remember my mother. Margaret Ann Southern 1951-2002.
She was born in the small riverside farmhouse of Robert and Gladys McGuire in Snohomish Washington on August 30th, 1951. She stayed in that small town all of her childhood life and graduated from Snohomish high school. Right out of high school she attended a beautician academy in Everett Washington.
She married her high school sweetheart Bill Pellham, also of Snohomish. They had 2 children together, Lisa in May of 71, and Bill Jr in June of 73'.
After a rough marriage, she called it quits in 1976. Her parents then moved them to the small farm town of Silvana Washington. She worked 2 and sometimes 3 jobs to make ends meet from milking cows and stuffing greeting card in envelopes, to waiting tables in local cafes.
In 1978 on her way home from milking cows, she would meet the love of her life in the Longhorn Saloon in Smokey Point Washington. Richard Leroy Southern from Arlington. This former Vietnam Nam war veteran worked as paramedic and surgeon for Cascade Valley Hospital. They would marry on January 13th in 1979. Little baby Jennifer Sue would follow in November of the same year. Baby Rebecca arrived next in July of 81'. She had everything a good woman wanted. 4 great kids, and a husband that treated her like a queen.
They "lived the life". Camping and fishing..... grandchildren.... life was good. In November 2001, the reality of life set in. Rich passed away while getting ready to run on his treadmill in the basement of the family home. Calcium attacked his arteries from the inside out. He left this world without any pain. He pumped his heart dry......
366 days later the family would be challenged again. Marge was struck and killed by a car, while walking across the street at the Longhorn Saloon. The same place where she met her prince, this daughter, sister, mother, and wife would lose her life.
She is survived by her 4 children. Lisa, Bill, Jenni and Becky.

So, if you can't get your water heater fixed, you're not going?
You can make the trip w/o hot water. Just boil it! (that was Cindy's suggestion)

Oh, don't worry, Val's just cranky from the hives she got from the sulfa that was in one of her medications. Her doctor screwed up a script, now she's paying for it, 100's of red marks that itch, yikes

Hap:
If that is a standing pilot try loosening and retightening the nut on the little copper tube that runs from the burner to the gas valve. It's at the gas valve end.
If it's an electronic ignition get your wallet out.

My wallet's in hand waiting for them to dig in and take as much as they want, it's electronic ignition, great for firing it up, not great for repair

MB I hav'nt met you yet, but it was nice to read about your mom. I know what you mean, I lost my wife 11 years ago and feel the same way some times. Just keep the good memories and she will always be there for you.
