I just read this on a different site. For you people that are going to Sandfest might want to check into it more.

IMPORTANT MESSAGE: We have rescheduled this event to July 8-13, 2008. This

is in part due to schedule conflict concerns from some of our sponsors and

vendors, resource availability during a holiday week and to the overwhelming

burden placed on elements of the ODNRA regulating entities. Out of respect for all

of these concerns, we feel it is prudent to facilitate Sandfest at a more convenient

date. We apologize for any inconvenience.</end quote></div>

Bummer for those who just made reservations for Horsfall for the 4th of July weekend when Sandfest was scheduled!
Those dates are already completely booked for Horsfall campground.

I want to go out like my Uncle Tony. In my sleep, with my passengers screaming at the top of their lungs!

Yeah that blows. Since I was helping them out, I changed all my usual 4th of July plans to be there. Luckily I have most of July off but not sure I can change my reservations for elsewhere that I have scheduled for the new dates..
ggggggggrrrrrrrrr. Oh well, things change and I'll try to make it work. When I talk to them, I will mention that many made reservations for the original dates and are now unable to get reservations for the new dates. I'm sure they know that, and not much they can do, but worth mentioning I think.

As I was writing that I got an email from one of the co-organizers. He said it was due to permits and resource issues.
I know it's not worth much of anything, but here is part of what I wrote back to him.
<div class="FTQUOTE"><begin quote>It's a bummer to because the reservation system just came back up in the last couple days. A few of the folks I ride with were just able to make reservations down there, and it sounds like the new dates are already filled up. They are kinda bummed out, as many are I'm sure.</end quote></div>

Ok, maybe it was worth something
But I can't mention it on here.
So standby to standby, he is working on a couple things. If you already made reservations, shoot me a PM and let me know.
