Bear Creek is kind of weak. If you want some great riding, challenging hills, and lots of trail riding, try Elson Street Riding Area. It's $10 for the day and well worth it. My friends and I ride there almost every Sunday of the year and it never gets old! Challenging every time! From 77 take Rt30 east, Rt43 south, about 10 miles, turn right on Elson St, There's a small sign close to the ground, you really need to be looking for it, or just look for the Elson St road sign. Deadends into riding park.

We haven't been to Elson St. in a while. Is it still all rutted out or did they finally do some trail maintenance? We're going this weekend somewhere, just trying to come up with a place. Any ideas? We live between Cleveland and Akron.

Elson Street isn't too bad. They took a bulldozer through some of the main trails and smoothed them out some. A lot of the back trails are still rutted some, but nothing you can't ride. I'm really looking for more places to ride around Canton. If anyone has a good place (with directions!) please post them. Also, there are so many riders around this area, why hasn't anyone started a riding club???? Would anyone be interested in getting one together?

There is a riding club in the Youngstown/Niles area. I think they are called the Mahoning Muddogs or something like that. But none that I know of around here. That would be a great idea! Are you volunteering? I would certainly join. Anyone else?
