Broken Bow Land use permit?

Walmart or any gas station in the area. Be sure to ask for a map while you are there. Its called a land use pass. We like the gas station up on 259 right before Carsons Creek state campgound.

I'm thinking of taking my family up to Broken Bow the week of Thanksgiving. I've never been there before, but from what I see on here it looks pretty good. Let me know how your trip goes.

Hey Texmudder,
Where in the Broken Bow area do you ride? Do you ride North of Highway 3 or south? I have fished on the Mountain Fork in the past but never ridden quads there (Pretty new to quads I am, said Yoda) I know where Watson and Smithville and Bethel are. Do you ride out of there by any chance? Also, in one of your earlier posts telling someone where to get a license you referenced a map. Doyou happen to have one of those maps posted on your Web site? A site ,I would like to add, which is VERY VERY impressive with all of the links available I was busy for hours Friday night.

We try to ride everywhere out there. As far as the maps go, I have old ones not the new ones. They are free at any place you can buy the pass from.

Scooksey, as far as trails that you can ride double on and easy trails for children, I think Broken Bow would be great. From what I understand, you can't leave the roads to ride on the forest floor without risking a pretty good fine. A lot of the roads are just trails anyway. I think Broken Bow would be a good family place to ride. We stayed at the Whippoorwill cabins, you can ride from them.

Broadhead... thanks for the info. We're planning for sure to go there next month. My parents live about 110 miles away, so we may just go up for the day, or make a couple of day trips. Sounds like the trails are just what we are looking for.
