Default Daniel Boone questions

We're considering a weekend trip to a "new" area and am looking at Daniel Boone. Anybody have any local info? the D. Boone website shows lots of trails, but other than the 52 mile loop at Redbird it *looks* like most of the districts have a few 3 or 4 mile long trails.

Is the Sheltowee Trace trail (the one that runs the whole north to south length) usable by ATV's or is it just a hiking trail? Any other trail info?

Thanks,

Jaybee

Default Daniel Boone questions

here is what i know. redbird is awesome. the three and four mile trails can keep you busy all day long. s-tree is a nine mile loop and i was informed it is a blast. i have been doing a lot of research on this since livingston closed. i have never been to any but i know friends that have and they say you can accomplish the fifty three mile loop in a day if you ride hard but that it can be pretty difficult. you might try mountaion parkway if you are just going for a day. it is an easy ride if you want it to be or it can be very hard. my friends and i are going to hit the redbird loop the last week of september if you want to try and hook up. fast paced day, try to cover it all in one day.
