If you all want to get a legal trail system in NY it needs your help. This is your chance to give Albany a wake up call and show them how many of us are out here and how much we want a trail system.

Yea Zig, they extended it...but look at the fine print. The new cost is gonna knock your socks off. 100 bills to register this year guys. In-fugging-sane. If you want to keep your insurance to keep the damn thing from gettin stolen, the state is gonna rape you on registration. I have decided to pay it this year, and if they dont keep their promises for next year, I'll never renew again.

All we can do is wait till they decide in Albany which it is going to be. Until then, enjoy you 6 months of free registration. I'm hoping, just like the rest of you, that NYS doesnt screw us again. We'll see come August.

I'm from Byron just outside of Batavia and as of last fall we had a fair amount of trails and a couple pits for a little mud fun but just the other day I noticed a couple of the local snowmobile clubs put up signs forbidding any 4 wheelers from using the area. This sucks because we lose about 5 miles of trail riding and if you believe what the clubs say it's because of a few crazy riders tearing up their trails ( as if i haven't heard that story before ). I agree with some of the previous posts about snowmobiles having more rights than us and being both a wheeler and a snowmobile rider I would have to agree. I really wouldn't mind paying a larger registration fee if we got something in return such as trails like the snowmobilers so maybe if we contact our legislators and make some noise something will be done. Just a thought and my two cents.

Clinton/ Essex county, in Keeseville, NY here. Member of the Outback Riders Club, out of Dannemora, NY. As far as proposed legislation to increase registration fees, I have already sent my letters to both of my assembly persons. You can find sample letters on the NYSORVA web site at www.nysorva.org

Good to see alot of familiar faces.
For any of you guys around the Syracuse area we are getting together basically as introduction to each other so we can put a face with a name. I welcome all of you to come on over to NYRiders and come spend a night out BSing about our toys.
As for the rest of the NY guys, we are planning some pretty good sized rides this year and we welcome all to come along. As long as they don't get as big as VHCat's. Thats just crazy.
