Sounds like CatDriver is making the trip. Anyone else?? My friends Danny & Jerrod are thinking about going. Danny thought about going on Saturday. I'm not sure if Jerrod mentioned a particular day or not but if I had to guess he would most likely go on Sunday. I might Saturday, but it is very questionable at this time. Sunday is almost a definite NO.

Gotta go Sunday to pick up my supercharged Hyabusa powered Banshee. Sorry about that, I just have to tease Jeff every now and then. I really think I'll be working Sunday.

We picked Sunday because they are forecasting rain for today. Hope to see some of you guys down there!

I rode Friday and surprisingly there were alot of people out riding. Rick has the Polaris back together and is planning to take it out for the maiden voyage on Saturday...hope he keeps it together. I'm planning to ride on Sunday.

I'm obviously not going to make it today. I might tomorrow, but even that is doubtful. Hope you guys have fun.

Who all went and how was it??

I need to start going riding more. If I don't, I'm afraid I might just hang it up. I never thought that I'd say that. But those new Mustang Cobras and F-150 Lightnings sure are looking tempting. So many choices, so little money.

Maybe I need to speed up the DS a little for next year. Or maybe get a 450R Honda. Hmmmmm...

Daren,

It was a beautiful day down there. Sanddraggen and Rick made it down there. My GF and my son went with me today and we had a great time. The sand was a bit packed and wet today. Pretty rough riding and not much drag racing but we still had a good ride. Some poor guy got hurt and a helicopter airlifted him out of there. Not a good ride for him I guess.

Understand the delimna over which toy to buy....

Thanks for the report. I hated to hear about the guy that got hurt. It has gotten where it happens all the time anymore. What a tragedy.

Well, I guess I'll sit here and look forward to next years riding season. Maybe I'll have a new ride next year and then the wife and I will both have wheels.

See you guys soon,

Daren

What happened down there this afternoon? I nearly got ran over by ambulances and fire rescue trucks on the way out.

There were 2 dirt bike guys that had a high speed head on. Sad to say that one of the guys died at the scene. I was standing 5' from the guy when the cops covered him. He was there by himself with no identification and the officials had to wait until the parking lot emptied to see what vehicle he was driving so they could I.D. him. He looked to be in his late 20's, early 30's. The guy they airlifted was awake but appeared to be in severe pain. Both bikes (KTM and Honda) were totaled. It was a upsetting site to see.
