going down to vegas in dec were to ride on the way down?

i live in saskatoon canada. i am going to vegas in the second week of dec. i was wanting to know if it would be too cold to ride "little sahara" south of salt lake city that time of year? and if it is going to be cold were else could i ride? i would really like to know! i have ridden in vegas before but want to see something else on the way.

glamis is a little to far for a day trip from vegas. i was hoping for some thing on the way down or with in a couple hours of vegas. i will go to glamis though some day!

We were in Vegas this past March and saw a cool place to ride out close to the Las Vegas Speedway where they run the NASCAR races. It's on I-15 one exit past the racetrack and it's on your right of the freeway. I think you want the intersection of I-15 and Hwy 604. Lots of valleys and places to jump. Bring regular tires though it didn't look like paddles would be that great to me. Didn't have my quad with me so didn't get to ride. I just couldn't get the bike in my carry-on!

htey have a track at the speedway and just past the speed way a few miles is an area buy nellis airforce base i rode last time and your right you need a regular tire is is pretty rough and shaley.

[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img] Southern Utah has lots of places to ride on the way to Vages Coral Pink Sand dunes near Kanab, There are some dunes near Hurrican, to the south of town. (ask direction in Hurrican). On the Ariz Strip south of St.George. south of Masquite towards Lake Mead.
This is all lower elavation and will be chilly in the 30's or 40's but wormer than SLC. Bob

i would be interested to know ere these places were as we go right buy there on the way down. would it be possible to give me some directions to these places??? if you don't mind me phone ing you i would really like your number so i could call you on the way down and get weather info and directions!!!!!!

for the places in and around kanab do we need paddle tires or will knobbies work? i can borrow a 8 paddle if i have to. i know around vegas we don't need one. i rode out buy nellis and it is pretty hard most of the place.
