Most places I know is rough and wooded with mud. This time of the year the lakes will be frozen soon for the speed riding. I hear the trails in Dunbarton have some pits in there. But lots of mud as well.
I was on the Rockingham trail there out of Windham awhile back. And there is a bit coming from Windham on the right. It was awesome, big pit some jumps, and a huge puddle in the middle. Figured it was a puddle. Little did I realize it was a small pnd almost 5 feet deep in the middle. Went riding across and sunk to the bottom, it was fun but ended the day rather quickly. It was cool tho we had been out for 5 hours already.
There are tons of trails here but all woods, some powerlines and tons of watercrossings.

while there is snow on the ground, you can ride in Bear Brook. The best place we have found to ride is in N. Stratford NH Over 100 miles of ATV trails. http://www.northcountryatv.com

We went riding up there for the first time last summer for our vacation. After that, we went up as many weekends as we could. Ended up buying land with trail access. We enjoy staying at http://www.grandeolelodge.com
they have a link on the north country atv web site. Bed & Breakfast type place, right on the trails, the owner is the Trail Administrator of the ATV club. He is able to tell you all you need to know about the trails.
