Looks like the May 1st date for opening of the state parks for ORV use is not going to happen. They are citing "wet conditions" as the reason.

 

What a crock, so do they close the parks if it rains in the summer?? Went riding monday and sat. and it wasn't that wet!! my buddies said it was wet it granville on friday but of course it just finished raining. How can you find out when the parks are opening? Probably call the parks dept. Probably just answered my own question!

 

Yeah, I didn't think that the parks should have been delayed, but went for a ride yesterday and it did get pretty soupy in some of the higher elevations. Most likely, it will only be a couple of weeks delay, although our riding season is short enough anyway! [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-sad.gif[/img]

The club I belong to has close ties to the state when it comes to ORV. Heard it through them, through the paper, and on the recordings at the parks.
