Chadwick is southeast of springfield, they have 125 miles of really cool trails in the mark twain ntl forrest. Some of them are very technical, so you need a map that shows the easy, intermediate and expert trails. You have to stop at a convienece store named Kays in the town of Chadwick, get a permit and pay a fee ($5/day/per quad) and get your map there. they also have campsites.
The trails are up and down the ozark hills, mainly use 1st and 2nd gear on my 400ex. Occasionally get to 3rd or 4th on fire roads. If you want to go fast, this isnt the place for you.

Finger Lakes State park is north of Columbia on HWY 63. You pay $2 to ride all day they have campsites, water restrooms. They also have a great MX track. The trails are wide and usually muddy with some steep hills through out. It is a great place to ride and fish.
