Directions to Blackwood, PA
#1
Here they are:
Take 81N.(or south depending where you are).
Get off on exit #33, the Ravine exit
Turn right at the first stop sign, you'll pass a gas station/truck stop on your left.
Turn left at the next stop, you are now on RT#125.
Stay on 125 until it turns into RT#209 north.
You'll come to the little village of Newtown.
Here's the tricky part, as you round the left bend in the road you'll see a guardrail and a paved road that branches off the main one.
Take this branch and drive the outer road around the development. If your on the right path you'll see where the paved road ends. GO down the dirt lane(DO NOT park near the church or anywhere at the top of the road). The dirt road goes back about 3/4 a mile until you get to the 1st parking area. You'll see other people parked there.
Unload and ride!!
You can go anywhere but to the top of the dirt lane(sometimes the cops will sit at the top and write you tickets if you go there)that you just drove down. Good Luck

I tried to follow the directions on map and got a little confused. You said take 25 till it turns to 209. thats in two places.. I am guessing it pretty close to Pottsville. Am I correct ?? If so.. I would come up 61N make left onto 209 W or S. Then what ???

If you're coming from Pottsville on 209. You'll pass a gun club on your left. Go down the hill past the Swatara Fuels sign. As you come to the top of the very next hill on your left there will be a gaurd-rail but there is a lane also. Turn left and follow the left road thru the development. If you pass Moyer's body shop you're on the wrong road. You will pass an old church and see the dirt road.
I'm sorry for the confusion. This is difficult to describe as there are no signs or major landmarks and it was only advertised thru word of mouth.
I believe it's 125-209 if you're coming from 81.

Rocky and lots of puddles. Most of the main trails are wide enough to drive a truck on, because you can drive to the campgrounds. There are smaller trails that go to places that you can only get to on quads or bikes.
But there is probably sereval million acres to ride. The area extends across the highway and far into the mountains. There are hill climbs everywhere and abandoned railroad beds to ride.
It's awesome!
