I was wondering if the free area was open or not. The last couple of times I have driven by there has not been anybody in there. Drove down in there today and there were signs posted everywhere "no motor vehicles".

 

Yes they did close that place down because of the dust. The home owner around there found out they could get it closed if they talked to the city. So now no more riding there.

 

Thats a bummer. Are there any other non ohv places to ride in the sac area? I live in Auburn.

 

Prarie city, then up near auburn there is mammoth bar and all the trail up above foresthill.

 

Is there any other places to ride in Sacramento!!!! Are you Joking. With in a 2 hour ride you have about 50 places to ride at. It all depends on the typl of ride you like and you skill level. Up the road from you is Foresthill, Stoneyford is north up highway 5, George Town ( Rock Creak) this area has trails from there all the way to Placerville. Next weekend we are going to (red dog on june 12. its out of grass valley) I could meet you in Alburn and you could follow me up. There is a lot of place to ride just let other people know you what to go and you could get a group of people that will go with you.
