wow someone else from Ro"tt"chester. it sucks around here for roding unless you knwo people with private land. they are clamping down HARD on ripping through all the old spots. im in henrietta. theres trails along the thru-way but dont let the cops see ya. they cant do much though anyways. go to some of the local shops (Hollink, Avon cycle, Cycle Stop, etc) they may have some ideas. weve only got a few places we ride and we have to get everythiogn lined up in advance to ride pretty much. im heading down to Long Island for the summer to work for a friend and do alot of riding down there. lots of sand. email me though if you want and we can talk a bit more.

Yeh we have the big yellow box (Kodak) here, not quite as big as it used to be.
There are some decent trails out in Port Gibson off 31 the closest semi-legal spot I know of. Mostly we go to the southern tier or PA. You might want to check into joining NYTRO I think their site is nytro.org. HTH

He's right, I live in Suffolk and there's no where to ride. You can forget about ridin in any sand unless you know someone w/ beachfront property. They just raised the penalties for illegal riding also. Huge fines and Impound fees. I have a month old trx450r that I've yet to ride other than up and down my street.

im headed down to LI in a few weeks to work with my friend doing roofing for the rest of the summer. he has his own business. as far as wheelign goes i wont be doing much for a few weeks as i just figured out my Banshee needs a new top end. we go riding with a guy who has access to approx. 150 acres of land which is a gravel/sand/wood mulch pit. its huge with trails going all around it and theres wide open access roads all around it. some decent hill climbs and sand hills and bowls too. when we go there , the guy who has access has a key for the gate and lets us in, then lockes the gate behind us so NOONE can get back there. its private land so the cops can5t do squat about it. my friend was also telling me of a couple tracks that are around that you can join as a member and ride there on open track days.
as far as the cops go, or as i like to call them "the anti-fun patrol" you guys are right. my friend has had his motorcycle impounded twice and it was hefty to get it back out. seeing as i dont have the title on hand for my wheeler i wont be stopping for cops. i dont stop for the up here either.
extorris PM me and maybe we can hook up and get you out on that property so you can actually ride your 450.
also once i get back up north to rochester in the fall we ll have to set up a ride with the others here.
sound good?
