Went to Haspen acres this weekend- And was dissapointed with the new changes.. Ive been riding there for years now, and I guess due to pressure from certain people the park had to tighten down on the rules. First all, helmets are required and actually enforced now(which is a good idea I suppose), But what really blows is they cut out night riding. They now prohibit riding after 9pm until 6am. Which I HATE, one of the coolest things about haspen was riding around late at night. They now have park "officers" actively patrolling the grounds enforcing these new rules, I saw quite a few of them.

Anyway, its just a beware to anyone who frequents haspin, you HAVE to have a brain bucket now!

 

the 2 trips i made there, police were needed, rowdy drunk people in motor vehicles...you can't drink and not impact others

 

I agree with Kushman. I almost got hit by a sand rail 2 years ago.

 

I've seen too many people hauled out in meat wagons from accidents due to drinking and/or riding without helmets. If they don't crack down, that place would be shut down before you know it and we'd have one less place to ride.
