Love a hard a$$ desert ride, but don't know where to go? Don't know anybody who will do this kind of riding with you? Try some ATVA/AMA District 37 desert races! These web sites have most of the info. you will need, and race schedules:

http://www.district37ama.org/offroad/

http://www.atvaonline.com/

Races are usually 35-45 miles long. You need to be an ATVA/AMA and District 37 member. Your bikes sound level must not be over 96dB, and you need current registration. In addition, things like full chassis and swingarm skid plates, a desert fuel tank, nerf bars, and some desert worthy tires, might be a good idea. As far as mods to the bike, there aren't really any restrictions. And, you can tow me home if I break down!
