Wolf Pen Gap on Labor Day Weekend
Well yall can expect alot of hills and creek crossings and alot of long trails. There is alot of things to see outside of wolf pen gap also. Several mines and a place that they call the blue hole which is really pretty to see. If you have mud tires on your bike it wold be advisable to put your stock ones back on before you come. I have seen a couple of mud tires just get cut to pieces on the rocks there. I run Dirt Devils on mine and they seem to hold put pretty well. And if we get a chance we can go by and meet the real Rooster Cogburn. LOL I am serious. he is the gransdson of the real Rooster. The last time we were at WPG we rode almost 400 miles in 3 days and still didnt get to see everything. There are alot of creeks to stop and cool off in so dont worry about getting too hot on the trail. Just be sure to bring extra gas with you on this ride. I carry an extra 5 gallon can on my bike just in case. This time of year the dust can be bad on the main trails but is not bad at all on the smaller trails, so you might want to bring a bandana for the main trail into WPG. Be sure and bring a camera too. I would like to do a couple of night rides if anyone else is interested in going.
