IMPORTANT:
If you are thinking/planning of doing a ATVenture trip to the Colorado Rockies, such as the Lake City, Silverton & Ouray Areas, then you better make your reservations NOW. These 3 towns are filling their vacant rooms/cabins/RV Spaces for the dates that end in August thru mid-September. Very few of these areas have anything open for late July to Mid-August.
In the past Summers I have waited to make reservations till 30 days before my planned trip & never had any problems in finding Motel Rooms or RV Spaces but with more folks going to these areas anymore, it may be best to make your reservations sooner, if you know your dates that you will be going.
I'll be at the Castle Lakes RV Campground/Cabins Resort from August 27-31st in Lake City & then in Silverton from the 31st to September 4th, so if you are in the area on those days, look me up & lets get together for some great rides.
I'll be driving a Ford F350 Tan Supercab Shortbox 4x4 with a Parker 16ft car hauler flatbed trailer & my Lime Green Arctic Cat 650, 2 other Red Cat 650s & 2 Prairie 650s will be in our riding group, so far.
In the Silverton area, we will hit the trails at both Ouray & Silverton & some of these trails are accessible from the Lake City side but just easier to get to by entering the trails from Silverton.

 

I will be in Buena Vista from July 16 thru Aug 16 at the Arkansas River Rim Camp. If anyone is in the area and needs a riding partner, stop by. Look for a Polaris 600 sportsman, a white F250 4wd and a Dutchstar motorhome.
