You may make it. You definately need a spark arrestor though. Go during the week when they don't check.

They do not check during the week. I will be coming from cleveland and do not want to run into any major issues. Advice will be greatly appreciated and just curious why do they want a spark arrester for sand???

The require a spark arrestor for the reason that the trail leading you out to the dunes has trees on both sides, and there is a trail section you can ride between the water flooded out drag way and the beach that is all trees.

Have a great time and give us a ride report when you get back.

I'm heading out there in a couple weeks and would like to know what has changed since I was last there.

I went last year for the first time in about ten years. Everything was different. Hills were one way, beach was all blocked off, and there were ropes, fences and signs everywhere. Definately a different experience. Dunes were quite a bit lower as well.
