I have seen some posts on the sand dunes close to Rock Springs, WY. Can some one give me information on them? Where are they excatly? What are they comparable to? Are there any other sand dunes in my area (4 hour drive from SLC) other than Little Sahara, St. Anthony, Coral Pink and Knolls. Thanks for your input.

The Killpecker sandunes are located about 35 miles north of Rock Springs. From I-80 take Hwy 191 north for about 11 miles from I-80. Turn right on Chilton road. About 100 or 200 yards into Chilton road you will see a brown BLM sign for all of the things to see/do on that road. Go about 22 miles where there is kind of a fork in the road, bear left and go 2 more miles to the end of the road. There is a small camping area and outhouse; no trees, water or anything else. It is a fun place to ride but watch out for the very sharp razorbacks; trust me on that. There is about 11000 acres to ride on with about 200' to 250' hilclimbs bowls, etc. Pretty fun just very barren out there.
