Outside Buffalo, NY. Went riding both Saturday & Sunday as the county threatened to shut it down Today. Rode out tonight, Monday 1/31, just to check it out and the park is all blocked off and closed up. Lets hope the county resolves their budget problem and opens it back up soon, before the snow is gone

Erie county will never solve its problems. We'll go through the same crap next year. The only spot we rode in Lancaster (going east along the tracks towards Alden) is being turned into a bike path and it will be patrolled by cops on bikes. Of course, what cop could catch us if he is chasing us with his bike. Ha ha ha.
Brian
I live in Lancaster, if you know of any other spots to ride, let me know
Thanks

If Erie County had some sharp people running it (yeah right!!!), they would take one of their parks and turn it into an ATV riding area. Maybe charge $10/ATV/visit. There is no legal riding I know of in Erie or Niagara county, and you have to go down close to PA to find anything. Some of those parks have like nobody going to them. Say maybe half of Emery Park or Sprague Brook for quads. That would be great, and generate some cash for the county. I think the county has land in Boston too off the 219 expressway

Markymann, that is a sweet idea, which is why Erie county won't do it. I'd pay to ride around in a park like Emery. Como Park is right behind my house and that would be a great park to ride. It is..Back in the old days we would go cruising through there at night and stuff, now they will find a way to track you down and come to your house.
Well, at least our sales tax got raised again. And what do we get out of it??

NYS registration, insurance, and EC Parks permit, which is free. Riding here is done any way. Snow is melting, and there must be snow on the ground to permit riding. And of course, the budget crap closed the parks until further notice. So it basically means we got screwed out of the one local riding spot this year
