Are there any places near the city or within 45 minutes or so to ride??

I think there are some trails near Chesapeake VA, you might try a search.

Slades is not too far from Richmond in Surry, VA. I hear they are planning to reopen.

When I lived in Richmond I would drive out to South Pedlar near Lynchburg to ride.

Slades is a private-owned riding park in Surry. Itclosed due to legal problems, but i heard a rumor it was going to reopen.

Not sure though... someone else might know the scoop.

I would also like to know more about "slades" ive done a few internet searchs for places to ride in central va and havnt had any luck so if anybody finds any thing please post it ..thanks
