Lots of places in the mountains of Western NC. Check out the Brown Mountain Recreational area and Upper Tellico. The Upper Tellico area borders the Tennessee state line.

atvrider300ex,
I mentioned to you in a earlier post about St. James. It is a great place to ride. Miles and miles of trails through the woods and sand dunes. It's only about a hour away and it's really worth checking it out. Also, there is a good supercross track in Shallotte that you can practice on anytime except for race Saturdays and on Wednesday nights they leave the lights on until 10:00.

bigR,
St. James is near Southport on Hwy. 211 probably about 2.5 hours from Raleigh. It is a legal place to ride and it costs nothing. There are miles and miles of sand trails going through the woods and towards the intercoastal waterway there are sand dunes. There not like you would see at a real dune area but for North Carolina they are good. There are great jumps here and big bowls curved into the dunes. When it is low tide you can go out on the waterway and shoot up and down it for about a mile. This is a great place to race each other and jet-skis. Overall, it is a great place to ride. If you ever want to go me and my friends ride down there often and we could show you around.
