Can anyone tell me how the trails are in the Pohopoco Tract in Monroe, the Maple Run Tract or the Burnt Mills tract before I drove out from monmouth county in NJ. Nj doesn't have any places to ride other than chatsworth. Thanks for the help, and guys in NJ if you know of riding spots in central NJ pass it on to me thanx.

Old post... same question. We are going up there in a couple weeks and am wondering if these places are good to ride? Are they DCNR as I have a youth on a larger bike.

Pocohop is now called the Dixon Miller Tract, both areas are DCNR. I've been to Dixon Miller, this is the first time it's open in the winter. We enjoy Dixon Miller, alot of trails and most are fairly easy. Make sure you have your quad registered and proof of insurance. Haven't ridden at Burnt Mills yet, but know it's smaller, less trails.

My family and I have been to Dix Miller as well and enjoyed it. Glad to see it's open for winter riding now.
Burnt Mills and Maple Run seem a little too short for the trip I'd have to make.
I wish the DCNR would get it together and build a connector between those two and then the trail milage would be closer to Dix Miller- 17 mile-ish. Lost Trails is just north of Dix Miller if you are seeking more of a challenge.
There's riding for kids at any of the above mentioned.
RAC permits go on sale 1/18 if you want to ride in Pottsville area.
