Default is trailpass worth it in NY State??

I have been doing some research and trailpass looks like a good idea but is it worth it?? it looks to me like there are hidden fee's,,like paying to ride each time after signing up and paying $50.00 a quad,,my family has 3 so thats $150.00 plus whatever we have to pay each time to ride.. also does anyone have info on some riding area's like WHISPERING PINES and PINE HILL and ROCKY ROOST in NY?? those are the areas i would be looking to ride living in rochester ny.. Hope to see some people soon on some trails and have fun riding,,thanks

I'm fairly familiar with TrailPass (I'm a member, and they also help out with our ATV rally). I don't believe they have any extra fees when you ride on their trails.

At the Lake George trail system, I just show up, unload and hit the trails. Some places may charge you a parking fee, such as Whispering Pine, but that's not TrailPass - that's the owners of the trailhead.

The annual fee is $75, but it lasts 13 months. Given the taxes I pay NY state, and get nothing for it, I think TrailPass is a good deal.
