Kid friendly places to ride in MO??
My first choice would be ST. Joe State Park. It's got plenty of open area's and also wooded trails. You can drive your atv right up to the lake for a swim and then go ridin again. The kids just love the sand like stuff that's all on the ground from the mining from years ago. My second choice would be Suttons bluff. It's mostly nice wooded trails and they seem to keep the trails groomed. Do a search and you"ll find both places have a web site. One is State and the other is U.S. forest service land.

There is a great private park in Fulton, MO. Lake Potowatomi. It is not too small not too big and it would be a great place to take a child. It was $5/person last time I was there, I am unsure about children pricing.

Don't let the big trucks off-road on really large rocks discourage you from going here. There are lots of areas and this is only one part of the park, but they do allow all off-road vehicles.
Also look at DeepCreek Link, except be forewarned the two times I went there the place was like total Anarchy, no park ranger and no rules.

Just 7 miles from Louisiana, MO and just 30 miles from Hannibal, MO on the Illinois side there is Rockport Off-Road Park.
Over 700 acres of trailriding.
VERY family oriented.
Absolutely NO ALCOHOL allowed on park property.
Separate trails for ATVS/Bikes vs. Jeeps
A special trailriding area called the cubs den for 90cc machines and smaller.
All rules enforced: no double riding for ATV/Dirtbikes and helmets are required for all riders.
