A special event such as a drag racing day would close the entire park for the day due to safety reasonsUp to 4 special event days for a calendar year -- they have 3 scheduled this year alreadySubmit a letter to the park superintendent, Sandy McCain ( I think ), describing what kind of event, the rules for the event and so on. That letter, if approved by the park superintendent, is sent to the state level for consideration.Assuming it's all approved, you're required to have 2 million dollars worth of insurance per event and 300k per rider. She told that it's best to have a sanctioning body similiar to the AMA sponsor the event. That, of course, brings up a whole new string of coordination requirements. You could possibly use the ATV Drag Racing Association.Contact the park superintendent at 573-431-1069 if you're really interested. They have a town hall type of meeting coming up in June if we all wanted to show support for a dedicated drag racing area. The hazard we'd face is the potential for them to ban drag racing though.
Lot's of work. Might be easier to rent 10 flat acres somewhere and I'll bring the tractor!
