I am new to this site and i am looking for places and people to ride with in northern illinois and southern wi. I just purchased my first atv, an 06 Arctic Cat 400 4x4 auto. My father in law got an 05 Arctic Cat 650 v2 4x4 auto. I have been to both "Cliff's Insane" and "Fox Valley Off Road". I am looking to expand my horizons and meet some good people along the way.

I have not riden ther yet. i only went to check the place out as i was driving past one day. The place is pretty small(50 acres). I have heard it is a great place to take kids. Not to many people out there when i was there. i think it is a great spot if you have a sport quad, not so good if you have a utility. take the utility's down to cliff's

Those of you who've been to cliff's and Fox valley, which do you prefer. I typically ride at the Badlands in Attica, IN. So I'm looking for a good mix of wooded trails, hills, mud, etc.

Badlands is great but i'm looking for something a little closer for short day trips.

Any thoughts?

I like the Cliffs the most so far, real good mix of water, steep hills, lotsa trails and other stuff. I went somewhere out in ottawa which was smaller but had a little track in the back corner of the park that was cool. Hopefully we'll get out to the Badlands this spring, i'm sure its the best of all of them. Theres a bunch of parks on the western edge of Illinois i think that are great. One is like 1700 acres or something, it was in one of my truck magazines.

I go here sometimes Text. The main trail is pretty flat but there is some club trails through dirt fields with minor hills and some along hilly paved roads. Pretty scenic and easy riding for someone new into riding. Plenty of gas and food/bar stops along the trails also. The paved road trails are nice for opening up your machine to see what its got. Plus they're pretty hilly. One we refer to as roller coaster hill, about a 2 mile stretch of up and downs between Fayette and Blanchardville. The Fayette Saloon is a great place for some good burgers and food. Plus my coworker who turned me on to atvs told me that they should be opening up another trail from Darlington to Shullsburg that was open in the past but closed a few years back. Brian

Where is this "wilber rough corn" in central IL?

Anyone know any areas around Danville - Champaign?

Thanks!

Ken
