What are the trails like at Black River Forest(WI)? From the map it looks like there are alot of trails. Is it anything like Danbury? Where do you park and what area would you recommend? thanks for any info

They're nice trails but can get a little boring. I too, prefer the Rock Dam/ Clark county areas as they have more of the 'woodsy' type of trails. Many of the trails at BRF become endless series of woops, especially as the season goes on.

From where you're located, you might want to check out Bayfield county/ Washburn/ Iron River area. Lots of woods type trails with some wide open runs and it's closer to you that BRF.

www.watva.org for more info.

Well, we have friends who ride who live in Wisconsin plus many of the trails are what we consider to be 'family friendly'. My wife is a much happier camper with my younger kids riding on wide, sandy WI trails vs some tight and twisty Tennessee ones.

Besides - Where else can you ride all day and then just pull up to a pub and get a great meal.

Oh yeah - I have a weakness for cheese curds.

if u live north of 29 just get down onto 29 and head to thorp, get to thorp and head straight south on M for about 15 miles then there is a sign where to turn, if u live southernly, go to black river falls and take I to M and head north untill u see the sign lol kind of basic directions, if u look on a wisconsin map just find thorp on highway 29 (its east of eau claire) then follow the road M south of thorp and u will see a little lake called rock dam and thats where u need to go
