All public land in Idaho require: OHV sticker and Spark Arresters and helmets for under 18 years. No fees when riding public land in southwest Idaho, except when racing in a competitive (sponsored) event on public land.

Clay Peak Recreation Area (Payette County) - Motocross park, free, except during races, such as WORCS ATV Round 5 this week.
Little Gem Cycle Park (Gem County)- 2,000 acres enclosed open area free play areas with climbs, trails, and jumps.
Pickle Butte (Canyon County) - About 800 acres of free play areas, mostly hills and jumps.
Danskin - Blacks Creek (Elmore County) - About 10,000 acres of designated trails through desert, creeks, & forest.
Boise Front (Ada County) - About 8,000 acres of designated trails through foothills into the forest.
Birds of Prey Area (Ada, Canyon, & Oyhee Counties) - About 100,000 acres of desert trails and sand washes.
Paradise Valley (Elmore County) - About 32 miles of sand washes and hills.
Hagerman Hills (Twin Falls County) - Connects to Paradise Valley with trails, pipeline climbs, and sand washes.
Centerville-Placerville (Boise County) - About 10,000 acres of forest routes.
Hazard Creek (Adams County) - About 3,000 acres on forest recent ATV trails to backcountry lakes.
White Clouds / Stanley (Custer County) - About 10,000 acres in alpine forest.
Marshall Mountain ( Idaho County) - About 2,000 acres of high mountain forest trails and old mining roads to lakes.
Steck (Washington County) - About 5,000 acres of desert rides and a small sand dune area along the Snake River.
Owyhee County has 2.5 million acres with 3,000 miles of trails, including but, limited to Hemingway Butte OHV area, Rabbit Creek OHV area, Fossil Creek OHV area, Silver City area, Juniper & South Mountains, Battle Creek, Murphy Hot Springs, Little Jacks Creek, and on and on into Oregon or Nevada.
Also for full time racers, we have two private motocross race parks, in southwest Idaho: Owyhee Motocross Club and Pleasant Valley Motocross Park. Private parks do not require spark arresters or OHV sticker, just membership fee or daily fee.

More information on the places to ride in Idaho contact:
Idaho State Parks & Recreation
Idaho ATV Association
Idaho Trail Machine Association
U.S. Forest Service for route maps
Bureau of Land Management recreation staff
Also get the Idaho State Parks & Recreation brochure called: Idaho Motorbike/ATV if you want to know Registration & Equipment Requirements (spark arrestors, stickers, license plates). Save yourself from getting a ticket from the rangers.

Boomer2,
Just a few comments. I find most of the western states with exception near major metro areas (like LA, Bay Area, Denver, Portland, & Seattle) still have endless areas to ride ATVs. If you visit Idaho to ride, you don't need an Idaho OHV registration for 30 days, as a non-resident drivers license. I noted the places above, because we get so many new residents annually from all over the U.S. to southwest Idaho and don't realize what is in their backdoor for off road ATV and motorcycling riding. I just like seeing people using the public land verses been stuck in the city. Kind of a mental health for people in Idaho communities.
LW.
