Thank you where about at Lake Murry do you guys go?

 

We go to the Lake Murray ATV State Park. They have great cement pads with water, sewer & electric hook-ups. They also have primitive sites. There is also a place for day riders to park with showers & restrooms. We try to get on site 16-17-18 if available. They fill up fast so it is best to have reservations.

ATV riding at Lake Murray State Park in Southern Oklahoma. Take Hwy 35 to Ardmore, OK. Exit on Hwy. 70 going East. Travel approximately 5 miles. Turn right at the road with a statue of a golden colored horse.( The horse statue is on the left side of the highway but you will turn right when you see it) Take the first turn to the right. Lot's of trails for hours and hours of ATV action! The Pear Orchard Motorcycle Use Area, on the northwest side of the lake, was developed by the Oklahoma Tourism and Recreation Department for motorcycles and ATVs. About ten miles of marked trails cross grassland, forest and rolling hills.

 

Where can i get the number to reserve spots. i tried to look at your slide show but it wont pull anything eles.

I have no idea why my slide wont show for you. I checked it after i posted it & it came up for me. Maybe because i was logged into it with my password. Who knows. I tried to post the pictures on my profile page but it keeps telling me my pictures are too big. I am trying to figure out how to resize them. Thanks for letting me know though.

They do not reserve any camp sites. Last time I wanted to make sure I had a spot, I took the RV up and parked it in the spot I wanted. Had to pay for the days I wasn't there, but had a spot that weekend.

 

The last time we went up to Lake Murray they told us all but two spots were reserved. That was on a holiday. I think they will take reservations, which just assures you have a spot but it is a 1st come 1st serve basis as to where you park. Usually it starts filling up on Friday morning. If you can get there early enough you can get a spot on Friday. most holidays it is full.

 

Interesting. May have to make some calls on that. Last Memorial day we called, and they said they didn't take reservations, you just had to pay for a spot, and that would hold it. I took the RV up the Sunday before and paid for the days it just sat there. I did go up on Wednesday, so I had the park to myself then. A few others had done the same thing. Thursday, I think I saw 5 people out riding. Then Friday morning, the crowd started streaming in.
