i am actually playing hookie from work on monday and going up with a friend of mine. he rides a polaris 250 and i have a z400. this is only my second time there but i had a great time there a few weeks ago.

i second the wanting to go with someone experienced though. i found myself turning around a lot as some trails just seem to either dead end or get to only dirtbike width. thank god for reverse.

btw,
russ, i think someone would be crazy to bring a cr 500 there unless there is a lot more open spaces than i saw. i spent a lot of time on trail 4 and went up and down and up and down all on rocks most of the time in 2nd gear too! you must be a better man than i!

If you ever want to hook up and ride , just give me a shout. I will be up there this weekend and probably the weekend after that as well. I have worn out 3 big bore hondas at Tower City and racing . I am on my 4th 500 now. I put at least 9,000 miles on my 89 XT350 at TC. I am new to the 4 wheeler deal. But back in the 80's and 90's it was a group of us guys that always had 500's like John ( the prez)in the office. John and the rest of us were the hillclimbing masters. There are many miles of trails that you can open up your machines. I hurt myself pretty good racing a few years ago and have stopped racing. My best friend and bonzi cr500 owner has stopped going up to ride. And now that my son doesn't go I ride alone alot which is not safe on a speed freak on a cr500. So after riding my wifes scrambler I bought for her, I just had to have one.It is safer and the atv thing is new to me so it is cool. I am always looking for people to ride with. So anytime you need a guide or a new face give me a shout.

How was your ride. I was unable to take off yesterday. It was a good day for riding. I did not make it up over the weekend. A good friend and riding buddy of mine had a heart attack.Spent some time with him. I will be going up this weekend . If you want to go give me a shout.

I might be interested in coming up on Saturday morning. How much is it to ride for the day?

Hey Russ, are you going to go to Michaux some weekend? It reopens on the 25th of May. Im in Chambersburg, so im only 10 miles from it.
Let me know man.

Its free to ride. You just have to get your PA tag which is $20 for 2 years and you have to have proof of insurance. I have both but have never been checked for anything.
