Good news - my wife and I finally picked-up two new Grizzly 700s and a Zieman 8x12 flat trailer and will be headed out to the Stoddard Valley this coming weedend to break them in. Our first quads.

The Bad- During the shopping we had to endure the idiotic tactics at Berts Mega Mall located here in Covina, So Cal. When we were unable to come to an agreement on price they walked away and disappeared. Having taken my driver's licence earlier they now refused to return it. As we were unable to leave they then sent out a foul mouth'd bully who attempted to intimidate us. Every sentence was laced with profanity or "Jesus Christ". If you're a follower you may not appreciate the latter. This is an old ( used car sales ) tactic designed to throw you off your game, don't fall for it.

Lessons - If you live in Southern Calif avoid Berts ( unless you like the aggravation).

Never give the dealer your licence or anything else before the price has been
nailed down!

 

I wish that would've have happened to me at Berts. I first would've said in a sem-loud voice "You guys are a bunch of ripoff of salesman with very poor attitudes and customer service/sales skills. How and why anyone would want to buy from you when they can get better service and much better prices at LA Cycle Sports is beyond me. Now, please return my driver license as I have no intention of buying anything from this store."

Had they refused, I would then said "No problem. You don't want to return my driver license in a lame attempt to keep me here to buy a bike from you?!...That's fine. I'll just telephone the police for assistance."

Those guys have no ethics or morals.

 

Since then I've thought of a bunch of things I wish I'd done. Some might have gotten me in trouble. To be honest I was blow-away it was happening.

 

I was working near Berts when I was looking to buy my bike. I could tell they didn't want to deal with me on a price,(they wouldn't even give me a price when there was no sticker on the bike) so I left rather quickly. Never to return. I have heard complaints like this before, about them.

 

Bert's is the worst place in the world!!!!! They are so full of #$@%#!!!! The parts guys work off comission and they work as if they pay to work there!! Never again will i give them my money, i rather driver to montclair or chaparrals.

By the way, Sageman.. Are you going to be at the Poker run this weekend?? I'll be there on friday morning, camped close to the event.

 

Poker run? Where? Maybe we can make it.

 

Berts has always been good to me and I've bought four of my ATV's there and two SeaDoos over the years. They've price matched for me with LA Cycle and have never been rude. As for LA Cycle yes they can make good deals but you have nowhere to park and good luck getting service.
