Could an in-state resident purchase a year round permit --- and another person use it? Since its just a sticker on a helmet... Like if a buddy came up to visit and used the wifes helmet. "if" you get checked while on the trail do the call in the permit to see what name its registared to?

 

The H/M permit goes with the rider and not the machine (so one rider can ride the machine of their choice down there with only one permit) so I'm guessing the answer to your question is "no"...

 

The permit is just a sticker with just a serial number on it - no names, are your required to carry the paper work along with you as well? I'd wonder if the state government keeps track of which permit belongs to what person- like a real drivers license.


We bought a one day pass and it was just paperwork then a sticker to place on the helmet.
