Has anyone been to Mule Ridge yet? I am thinking about taking my 6 year old son there. I was wonder how difficult the trails were?</end quote></div>
I've been there a couple of times with my 15 year old son. The trails are pretty easy, with a few steep one's thrown in. The harder trails are marked, and the muddier one's will have a "winch" sign before you get into them. You can follow a creek, and ride the sandbars along it. There is a "track" on top of one of the hills with a few jumps.
All in all a real nice place, the owners are friendly. They even loaned us some tools one day. I saw several dads with their younger kids there riding. IMO, a perfect place to take your son.

Thanks for the info. Sounds like a good places, do they have a kids area?</end quote></div>
I can't say they have "kids area", but there are open fields up by the gate/parking area. It is nothing grass fields before you head to the wooded areas. Like I said, IMO it is a perfect place for young kids to learn at.
If your worried about other people no keeping an eye out for your son, I don't think that would be a problem. The first time my son and I went we had the whole place to ourselves. The second time there were maybe 10 other people there. Being a new place it's not well known yet.
