Me and my bud are planniong on going to Evarts KY on a ride in a few weeks. Does anybody have any info they can share about the place. We know you can ride legal on the streets there but thats about all i know. Any info is helpful. Thanx

 

Hey Cat, you'll have a BLAST in Evarts. 40,000 acres to ride, and it's all FREE. You can buy a map and go at it on your own, or get a FREE guide to take you around the mountain. It's the only city in Kentucky where you can legally ride your toy through town on city streets- just wear a helmet and obey all traffic laws. There are many places to rent in Evarts, as well as 2 campgrounds in town. Once you get there and unload, you never have to load back up until it's time to go home- there are gas stations, restaurants, grocery stores, etc. right there in town. Just behave and obey the law and the rules of the park, and you'll be left alone! By the way, BYOB- Harlan County is a DRY county.

ya, its a fun trip and kentucky is fastly becoming a more atv friendly state. There is 12 counties in the eastern side all working together trying to make thousands of miles of marked trails. So basically you could ride harlan through out many other counties here in a few years. In knott county, they just built a honda training center with trails there too. Look to kentucky to have great trails soon.

 

BYOB- just leave it at camp, and keep it safe for the rest of us. really though it is the best place i've been riding so far. you will have a good time.
