A coworker of mine from Michigan asked me if I have ever heard of this place. He said he has buddys that ride ATV's dirtbikes, and 4WD trucks down there. This is a decent distance from me in MD, but if I caould ride in sand then, Im in. Anyone have any websites with info, or any personal experience of this area would be appreciated. Thanks!

There is no LEGAL riding there that Im aware of.
I live in Illinois and ride the dunes in Michigan (Silver Lake) all the time.

he may have been talking about The Badlands in Attica Indiana. Its not real sand dunes its an old rock quarry and all the rock has been ground down like sand. it is a fun place to go and play if thats what you like to do. it is just a lot of hills to climb, a lot of jumps to play on but pretty fun.

The Badlands is a hell of a place to ride in Northern Indiana. About 1000 acres, and all terrain. Good woods riding, mud bogs, wide open spaces from the quarry (Which rides nearly identically to dunes, as mentioned), and trails and hills to suit every level. Very friendly staff and the shop actually has some parts at the place in case you break.

Around 15 minutes off of I-74 in Northwestern Indiana. South of Lafayette, west of Crawfordsville.
