Hey WI Riders!

What is up with the state requiring riders to have a safety course? Is it really enforced? I was thinking of traveling from IN to the Black River area and also some of the trails further west bordering MN/WI to ride. The IN DNR does not have a safety course and I am not going to spend a whole day of vacation sitting in a class in WI just to ride. What is the DNR thinking? What gives?

 

If you were born after 1-1-88. Not sure how it works for out of staters.

 

usually need to be following your states guidline ,check the DNR web site

 

I was born in the 70's do i have to take these classes.

 

shouldn't have to usually mid 80's

The way you Ride, Yes Bio you need them.....
Report to the trail head may 1 for some ATV Riding Classes.. j/k



So the way I read that you have to be over 20 to ride??? hmm did thay change that thought it was 18????

BlueBelly, B/C their's To many flight for life chooper's flying people out of their, from hittin tree's to hitting other's on the wrong side of the trail imo it's nice to know that thay now are doing this kind of stuff hope it cut's down on the accident's...But it looks like If you over the age of 20 look's like ya dont need it but if you have kid's 19ish to 12 thay are going to need 1... WI atv law's I have seen some small kid's out their B4 on small quads/dirtbike's but never have seen any dnr inforce their law on the young one's.....

It says that you can't drive side-by-sides on atv trails, but i have seen at Black river falls..

Yep, I have seen 2/3 in a group b4

 

I should go take the saftey course with my son, I think it would be cool.
