I saw a little blurb about that .577 on another site awhile back. Apparently it's a fifty cal machingun cartridge straightened out with a big chunk of lead stuffed in the hole. Make a great pistol cartridge.[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img]

Those big ol punt guns were tough on ducks. Used by market hunters many years ago. Saw one fired down in Portland some thirty odd years ago, my ears are still ringing.
