NEW Puget Sound/Seattle/Northwest area riders MEET HERE!!! thread
I have been working on the GSXR swap. I have the engine mounted and have made a craddle for the bottom of the frame where I had to cut the oringinal frame rails. I made the craddle to bolt to the footpeg mounts in the rear and to a crossmember I welded in the front. This way I can remove it if I need to pull the engine in the future and my nerfs stiil fit. I made some 45* elbows to fit between the engine and throttle bodies to keep the engine profile low. I can now use the stock fuel tank and all of the stock plastic fits. I trimed the front of the frame between the engine and steering shaft so the radiator fits in where it did on the GSXR.
I need to fab a bat. box that holds the ECM and relays.
I bought all the wiring for the headlights and tail lights. I got some gauges and handle bar controls from a Gsxr also.
Iv'e got some rear hubs from a Z400 that have a 4/110 bolt pattern. I have some 12" wheels left from my Vinson. I'm going to put 25" Extreme haulers on them.
Should be done soon.

Yup! My dad took video of our progress so far. I am stoked.

Trusses will be delivered by end of the week and I am hoping to get the skylights installed and ready to roof by the weekend, before my vacation is over.

My shop is coming together, too. I am going to pull the quads out and paint the floor tomorrow, then I think I might even get my Z torn down and see what I can do about all the chain slap I am hearing before the Naches ride. Sure is nice to get all my tools and such in one spot and organized where I can lock it all up. AND, I can actually find stuff so I am not constantly buying stuff I already have.

The semi trailer really does make into a decent workshop. All in all, a pretty productive first half of my vacation.

How big is your barn? That's too cool!
