NEW Puget Sound/Seattle/Northwest area riders MEET HERE!!! thread
Puget Sound area rider. At one time there were 50-60 pepole on here daily, but they slowly move to Facebook. Only a few left now. I miss the old days. I don't use facebook as I can only get dial-up at home.
Morning Rod.
I need to get to the dunes to find and work out any bugs in the GSXR/LT-r. The thing sound great and left 2 black marks out of my shop on the first test ride.

I use a wireless card since we don't have a phone line or cable to our house... I got a Droid and now rarely get on the home computer.
Good Morning PSAR!
Hi Rod. Been awhile since I dropped in. Been busy as heck with garden and stuff around here. Getting a lot of seat time on the quad checking mountain pasture and such. No "pleasure rides" as such but still a lot of miles in the mountains and open country.
Sure is quiet here at PSAR. Apparently the facebook thing has taken over.
Has that ankle injury ever fully healed up for you? I know last time you mentioned it there were still problems.
Building trades over here are about a thing of the past. I've seen two new houses going up this summer and the folks at the lumber yard say remodels are at a standstill as well. Only new construction around seems to be the big windmills and those are about done in our immediate area. Lots of them being put in out in the Bickleton area to the east of us about 40 miles.
I went back to work, if you can call it that, a few weeks ago. I put in two shifts a week for a security outfit. My son is the regional supervisor and they can't find people that can pass the background check, drug tests and armed guard tests. I sit and watch a computer control building for 12 hours on saturday and sunday. Nice office to hang around in and give me a chance to catch up on my reading and get paid for it. Moneys not great but the job is a snap. County road goes by and I see maybe two cars a day. Lots of deer and other wildlife. I'll be doing this for a few more weeks apparently as the last three people that applied for the jobs failed the background checks. I'm amazed at the number of people that have some felony record from years ago.
I bought six little Honda kids quads a couple of weeks ago. All used and in rough shape from no maintenance. Fixed them up and flipped them as fast as they were ready to go. Major things with all of them were adjustments and dirty fuel systems. No real mechanical issues. May have to see if I can do more of this with quads. The buying and selling of riding mowers and garden tractors is fun but involves a lot of travel to pick things up.
Hope all's going well for you folks.
Maybe some of the old regulars will pop in.
Mike
