NEW Puget Sound/Seattle/Northwest area riders MEET HERE!!! thread
#3512
Hi all. I wanted to get some opinions on the Waddell Creek campground in Capitol State Forest. I am looking at going there this weekend and was wondering how busy it gets and if I could get my 40 foot toy hauler into a spot. Lately at Tahuya they have marked everything "for day use only" so unless you get there Friday morning you aren't getting a spot to camp.
Thanks.
Chris
Thanks.

Afternoon PSAR
Well I needed something out of the big blue bus this morning so I went down there & walked in & HOLY CHIT the TV holder up front was buldging from WATER we blocked it up nice so it would be level & now the AC is leaking ARGGGGGGGGG just got done doing all the scraping & re-doing the seams on the roof & now this so I had to take the TV out & undo all the staples to relieve the water.......................about a gallon & 1/2 of it dang it!! So I drove it off the blocks so it will sit @ a slant I guess so the water will run OFF the roof until we can pull the AC unit & put a new seal up there very very disgusted to say the least!!! AND WHO PUTS SOMETHING TOGETHER W/ SQUARE DRIVE SCREWS had to make a special trip to Ace just for a screwdriver, found a cool 10 in 1 though
Hoping this weather lets up a little so it can dry out, we just fixed the hallway ceiling & got it dried out it's never ending I guess
Got the little RV on CL this morning, got an email already so we'll see if they call me that'd be nice to get that gone I guess haha I go in there & not ONE leak at all
Ok well that is my big adventure for today, now off to Vic *** to get a check for my bathroom floor

Oh, btw, who do you recommend that I contact to have the 5th wheel switched from one rig to da next by?
Should be in the Tacoma area, reasonable (if not cheap!) and reliable (good work!)
Thanks!</end quote></div>
I just spent $270 on that service, including a new wire harness. I pulled the old one out, first. The company was in Everett, so that won't help, but a price figure around.

Square drives are the only way to go.
No bit slipage!
That's how I put all my cabinets together and hang them on the walls.

I would say Waddell gets busy in the campground on the weekends and this looks to be a nice weekend so I'm sure they'll be alot of riders and campers there.
I think there are some spots you can get a 40' into but I haven't paid that much attention to how much room there is to manuver 60' of total rig around the campground.
They do have a very large dayuse area right next to the overnight area, if all else fails, stay in the dayuse area and plead ignorance

Are there any other ORV campgrounds in Capitol Forest? Or how about other areas in and around Puget Sound that are family friendly and have areas to camp and ride? I've only really been to Tahuya and we go to Moses Lake quite frequently.
